The septuagenarian, late Nze Vitalis O.S Chikere died at the age of 85, was a retired superior police officer (retired 1984), a staunch Catholic and community leader in his native of Izuoha, Amuzi Mbaise, Imo state. According to a release signed and made available by the family last weekend said his remains would be interred in his country home in Izuoha today, October 9, 2013 after a requiem mass at St. Jude’s Catholic Pro-Cathedral Church, Amuzi Ahiazu Mbaise. Survived by his wife, Lois, many children and grand-children. Amongst his children include: Mr. Donne Chikere; popular Nollywood movie director, T-Chidi Chikere; entertainment editor of Champion Newspapers, Uzo Chikere, and author cum banker, Mrs. Chinedu Stella Agu (wife of the Union publisher/CEO, Mr. Emma Agu).
